Come with me into the woods where spring is advancing, as it does, no matter what, not being singular or particular, but one of the forever gifts, and certainly visible.

- Mary Oliver

Spring 2020 :: as the earth comes to life we learn to stay home and live in a pandemic. Sunday dinners are replaced with Sunday drive bys. Six feet apart I watch as Percy grows. I plant the garden, bake to keep busy while he takes up bike riding with Brandon a few times each week. I find joy in watching our new garden unfold. Brandon and Courtney rescue two new pugs and their coop is full of new chicks. Masks become part of our wardrobe. After self-quarenting for three weeks I am able to once again hold Percy and life seems much more tolerable. By Mother’s Day we all feel comfortable enough to gather. We celebrate Katie’s birthday and we eat the first offerings from our tiny garden.
